We’d love your help to spread the word about OpenCon, and you can also use these sites to get in touch with other people before the event!
On Facebook, OpenCon UK has a page: http://www.facebook.com/OpenConUK, and OpenCon 2012 will soon have an event as well. You can use these areas to discuss workshop ideas with other attendees, arrange rideshares and chat.
On Twitter, we’ve been using the hashtag #opencon.
Polytical.org is an online zine and community resource created after a workshop during the first OpenCon: updates will appear via their Facebook page and Twitter feed.
We’ll be publicising the event online and by flyering, and we’d love your help to spread the word through the grapevine. Here are some more ways in which you can help out!
- Please mention OpenCon in your blog or website, and link to our website. Please mention us in communities or mailing lists you’re a member of where you think it’s appropriate too.
- Do you know of a publication that needs to know about OpenCon? Get in touch ASAP and we can contact them to let them know.
- Can you distribute flyers for us where interested people might be? Get in touch and we can send you some of our flyers.
- Tell people about us!
